About David Meister

David Meister's design journey began in the realm of visual merchandising, where he honed his skills in crafting captivating displays for boutique apparel and home goods stores in Chicago. Upon graduating from Harrington College of Design, he embarked on a path of professional growth.

At Ligne Roset, David quickly established himself as a standout talent, securing contracts for model homes in South Florida and rising to the position of senior designer and buyer. In this role, he was entrusted with curating showroom displays across the eastern US seaboard.

His journey continued with a transition to Flexform, where he collaborated with prominent New York socialites on prestigious properties throughout NYC and the Hudson Valley. His expertise and dedication captured the attention of Sossego, a burgeoning US-based Brazilian home furnishings brand.

At Sossego, David's contributions were extensive, encompassing all facets of the business, from photoshoots and catalog production to product development and participation in various trade shows. Notably, his exceptional booth design at the Architectural Digest Home Show earned him acclaim, including the prestigious "Best in Show" accolade.

Such recognition led to David being entrusted with the pivotal task of building out Sossego's flagship showroom in the esteemed New York Design Center (NYDC), further solidifying his reputation as a visionary designer.

David now spends most of his time at his studio in upstate NY, and has been focusing on ceramics and furniture restoration while continuing design projects.
